General motor development is very important, and there are different training standards for babies of different months so don’t confuse them
I don’t know if you have seen the picture of “baby growth and development ‘milestones'”. This is a picture marked that the baby has different movement standards and requirements for different months. Illustrated to the new parents, the baby at different months of age should carry out some of the movement training, worth just upgrade to do parents or preparing to train children for reference.
As parents, of course, hope that their babies are healthy, smart and lovable, but smart babies are not born, children’s intelligence and brain development need the help and guidance of parents. Baby’s big movement development is the growth of parents are easy to ignore the details, but it is precisely such training and exercise, is a standard to judge the child’s intelligence and health, is also a process of developing intelligence and brain power.
So new parents should pay attention to such a training, especially within one year of big sports development, is very important for the baby, because the baby is born in the first year is also the most critical year for growth and development, therefore, to make full use of this year’s time, good training baby.
There is an old saying in the folk, “three turns, six sits, eight climbs, and one year walks”, which is the development law of the great movement of children before one year. But the process is guided and trained by parents, and every step, from swaddling to the baby walker, is mixed with countless parental love and companionship.
Because the baby’s big movement development is a gradual process, so each stage will have great changes, therefore, for different months of the baby to learn the body movements, need to cooperate with different training.
A three-month-old baby
Turning over is one of the most important movements a baby needs to learn when they are still in a cradle or swaddle at less than three months old. Learning to roll over allows your baby to find a comfortable position on his or her own so that he or she can sleep better, and when you roll over, you can train their balance and coordination better. At the same time, learning to roll over can help the baby strengthen the muscle strength of the limbs, laying the foundation for learning to crawl in the future,
If your baby has been looking sideways lately, it’s time to start rolling over.
So how can parents train babies to roll over faster?
First, practice the strength of your baby’s two arms.
Adequate arm support is a prerequisite for the baby to complete the movement of turning over. Parents can let the baby lie on the bed and put some toys above the crib to attract the baby’s attention. By swinging the toy to attract the baby’s attention, so that the baby can look up, and subconsciously support the body on the stomach with the arms, such training can make the baby’s arms support the body exercise enough strength.
Second, you can practice rolling over by learning to lie on your back and on your side.
First let the baby’s body show supine position, and then put the baby’s right leg on the left leg, through the auxiliary strength, and the arm support before the training, let the baby use their own strength to twist the body over, so as to become prone. From supine to prone in this process, the baby with their own strength to change the body posture, the shoulder also followed a circle, many times to train the baby can learn from the side to learn to turn over.
Of course, the physical development of each baby is different, not all babies within three months have to learn to turn over, if the baby development speed is relatively slow, the perception of the outside world is not so strong, four to five months to learn to turn over is a normal phenomenon.
A six-month-old baby
At this age, a baby should learn to sit alone instead of lying in a crib. Learning to sit is an indispensable link in infant motor development. Whether you can learn to sit is also the basis for judging whether the baby’s neural development is normal.
This stage of learning to sit can be divided into pulling, leaning and sitting alone.
The first is pull sitting.
Generally speaking, pull is the baby to learn to sit at the beginning of this stage of training, four months can begin to practice. The exercise involves parents holding the baby’s wrist and pulling it up, so that the baby can use the pull force to slowly sit up. The baby remains seated for 5-6 seconds, then slowly lie down and return to the supine state, and then repeat the pull and sit training for 2-3 times.
And then sit back.
Sitting is generally after the completion of the pull sitting training, in the baby about five months began to practice. Parents can place the baby on a sofa with arms or a small chair with a back to practice sitting back. At the same time, let the baby keep the head stable, the body comfortably on the sofa and chair to complete the sitting, every day to repeat the training of sitting, until the baby can sit completely stable.
Finally, train your baby to sit alone.
Babies around six months old have been able to practice sitting alone through pulling and sitting training. Sitting alone is also a further training on the basis of sitting back, when the baby can do a good job of sitting back, parents can appropriately reduce a little bit of the baby’s back, or slowly remove the dependency. By holding the baby until the baby is fully released, the baby is able to sit well with less support, usually by around seven months of age.
Babies over eight months old
Between eight months and one year of age, babies are trained to crawl, stand and walk. Before the baby learns to crawl, you can lay the foundation for learning to crawl by practicing prone lying and exercising the strength of your legs, like learning to roll over.
Parents can start by holding their hands around their baby’s waist so that the baby can safely learn the crawling position on a soft bed. After mastering the crawling position, parents can put the baby’s favorite toys in the room and guide the baby to crawl around the room by grabbing the toys. At the same time, parents can offer encouragement and praise from the side of the baby to make it more happy to “crawl” around the room.
After learning to crawl, the muscles and bones of the baby’s legs have been well developed and exercised. They can support the upper body and stand up for training.
First practice standing, you can let the baby stand up with the help of some such as tables, chairs and other items, so that the body standing to maintain balance. When the baby can stand smoothly, you can try to use the toy to attract attention, let the baby hands off the support to pick up the toy, in the repeated training slowly baby can learn to stand alone.
Finally, is the training of walking, about a year old baby will basically start to learn to walk. Usually for babies who can stand, the leg muscles are developed enough to support learning to walk. Baby walkers are the most common tool for babies to learn to walk. Using a baby walker can help your baby learn to walk more boldly. After leaving the baby walker, the baby can basically walk less skillfully. At this time, mom and dad can stand on both sides of a short distance, let the baby leave your hands, walk from one side to the other, and protect the baby from the short distance to practice walking.
It can be seen that babies of different months need different training to complete the corresponding actions. So in order to the good development of the baby movement stage and the normal development of body and mind, parents must pay time and energy to help the baby in the corresponding time to complete the training and learning of various movements.
